For those who have forgotten, the mail order pricing is listed below:

On Monday permission slips were handed out for the next camp out. The camp out is Oct 7-9 at the White Pines State Park in Oregon, IL. We will be meeting at Light of Christ church at 5:30 pm on Friday and plan to be home Sunday around noon.
The permission slip is due next Monday, September 26th. Meal planning and duty rosters will be done on Monday, October 3rd.
Our SPL & PLC have a fun event planned for the camp out. There will be a competition between scouts and leaders/adults. The events will include competitions on scouts skills like fire building, knots, lashings, cooking and overall campsite.
Like our last camp out, we need parents to join us in helping with transportation to the camp but also in the competition.
Finally, the D300 middle schools have a band event being planned for the Friday we leave. The 7th and 8th grade band members will be performing during half time at the Jacob's High School football game. The expected end time for this band event is after 9:00 pm. Any scouts that want to participate in the band event and the camp out should contact me in the next week. We currently have a parent that will drive these scouts out to the camp site Saturday morning. Space will be limited and we will need you to drop off your gear Friday night to be transported up in the troop trailer.
This should be a fun event. The competition will be great. The event judges are our SPL and ASPL. I am sure they will be fair and just to the adults. Well, at least maybe they will let us win one event.

We will resume the Flag Pledge ceremonies at the Algonquin Village Hall on Sept 6th.

The next Court of Honor is Monday, Sept 12th @ 7pm at Light of Christ church.

The next troop camp out is Sept 9-11 at Palisades State Park. Permission slips were due today.

Next PLC meeting is scheduled for Sunday, Sept 18 @ 1pm. New PLC members should plan to attend.

Cold Weather Camping Course - Scouts ages 14 & Up; Cost: $75; Dates: Classroom, Half Day - Oct 15, 2011, Nov 12, 2011,Dec 10, 2011, Jan 7, 2012; Practical, Camping Weekend - Jan 21 & 22, 2012. If you are interested, see Mr Torres or Mr Wenzel.

Many scouts have partial merit badges from summer camp and space jam. Even a few from MBOD. Lets not forget about them. Scouts should be contacting troop merit badge counselors to arrange completing the badges.
